DUMPSTER DAYS Fall 2024 October 18 – 19, 2024
Fall 2024 Dumpster Days will be October 18 and 19.
Traditionally, the city mailed cards to each address on our residential list for Dumpster Days. Due to rising postage costs and issues with undelivered or returned cards, we are implementing a new procedure. Please see Resident List under NEWS on the home page for a list your address. If your address is not listed, please contact city hall at (770) 725-7386.
Please bring your driver's license with city address (and a utility bill if the license has another address) as proof of residency.
1)All citizens must stop and present their license and utility bill, if needed, verifying that you reside within the city limits.
2)Follow instructions from the on-site officials on where materials can be placed.
3)Use safe judgment while unloading items into the dumpsters. Avoid interrupting normal downtown traffic flow.
4)Under no circumstances is climbing upon or entering the dumpster allowed. Ask on-site officials for help.
5)No loitering. Please leave promptly after you have unloaded your items to minimize traffic congestion.
6)Solicitation is prohibited from any individuals to salvage materials from the dumpster area.
7)No hazardous materials/chemicals are to be placed in the dumpsters, including paint containers or vehicle batteries.
8)No limbs or brush shall be placed in the dumpsters.
9)Only residential properties can participate. Commercial properties are not allowed to dispose of materials from their business. NO CONSTRUCTION or remodel materials accepted.
10)A maximum of four mid-size truck loads are allowed per residential property.
11)Enter on N. Church Street from Elder and follow signs. No exceptions.
We encourage all citizens to participate in the Bogart beautification efforts. Failure to follow any of the above guidelines could result in revoking your privilege to participate in future dumpster days by the Mayor and Council. With any Questions call Maintenance at (678)-425-4184 or City Hall at (770)-725-7386.
