Reflecting on this 2022 ARPA Published March 10, 2023

ARPA funds were open for use April 1, 2022.  During this time, Bogart is proud of the many ways the city has been able to utilize the funds provided to better the community ant its citizens.  Money was set aside as a grant for individuals, businesses and community services that were negatively impacted by the pandemic.  Groups that help our citizens, Oconee Area Resource Council and the Oconee Senior Center received funds to help feed both children and seniors.  The Bogart Library received new computers and software.  The venues' (Bogart Community Center and Historical Agricultural Building) floors were re-sealed for cleanliness and sanitation.  Bogart's Volunteer Fire Department Station #7 was renovated, with more changes coming.  The City purchased a washer/dryer to clean the fire gear of toxins between uses and several much needed pieces of equipment - a Lucas device; Jaws of Life; Burn Container to practice different scenarios and four AED units for the 1st Responder's vehicles.  We are waiting on a fully loaded First Responder vehicle for the station and funds have been earmarked for that.  The annex building was renovated to house S.A.N.E.  Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners is a department of Oconee County Sheriff's forensic unit and serves multiple surrounding counties.  More to come.
